If you own a Caldera, Marquis, or Artesian hot tub, this is your ideal spas sanitation system. The mineral and chlorine cartridges ensure continuous release of ions as needed. The chlorine in the SmartChlor cartridge is self regulating and keeps a small residual level of chlorine between .5 and 1.5 ppm (parts per million). This is about 1/3 the amount of chlorine used in traditional hot tub sanitizing systems. Levels are adjustable based on the usage/size of your hot tub.
Due to the special nature of the self regulating chlorine, the Frog @ease system has it’s own test strips used to measure the chlorine level in your hot tub, as well as PH, Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness. These strips are included in this start up kit.
