The Scum Bug is a great tool for hot tub owners to help keep away and also remove water line scum. The Sponge contains small amounts of enzyme that break down oils and lotions that cause foaming and scum lines. This is on top of it being a great surface cleaner for the shell itself.
You should leave the scum bug floating in your spa at all times as it will attract body oils and lotions so they do not cloud up and foam up your hot tub.
