Keep an eye on your pools salt level to be sure it never drops too low to produce chlorine in your pool. When temperatures heat up there is a lot of splash out, evaporation, and water loss from backwashing the filter. This dilution lowers the salt level in the pool. Most salt water chlorine generators will tell you the salt level or at least let you know when it is getting low, however it is a good idea to have an independent way of testing your salt level to ensure proper function.
A bit from your typical pool test strips, you must allow the bottom of the test strip to soak in about 1″ of pool water for a couple minutes. Make sure to follow instructions on back of box for the most accurate results!
