If you use bromine in your hot tub a non-chlorine shock like this is a must. Spa shock can re-activate used up bromine in the water turning it back into free available bromine to help sanitize your water. It is also a great option at eliminating chloro-mines or bromines (bad chlorine or bromine) from the water that can make the hot tub smell like chlorine and irritate bathers.
This spa shock consists of potassium monopersulfate which is a strong non-odorous oxidizing shock for treating your spa before of after uses. Acts as a fast acting, quick dissolving, non-chlorinated oxidizing treatment. It does not leave behind a residual that is testable in the water like chlorine. For this reason it is not to be used as a primary sanitizer but as a quick shock after use.
We recommend 2oz. per bather after each use of the hot tub.
