Spa Pure Stain and Scale Prevented is used to treat minerals that could be in your fill water. These are usually in the form of copper and iron which can stain the spa or cause a tint to the water.
We recommend adding 1/2 a bottle of Stain and Scale immediately after filling the spa. DO NOT add any chlorine or bromine for 24 hours after adding stain and scale. After the 24 hours are up rinse your spa filters as the copper and iron will clump up on the cartridges.
